Babies who have eczema do have a much greater chance than average of developing asthma. If they do get asthma this usually starts before the age of 5 years. The odds of getting asthma are high as there is a 50% chance of this happening.Bronchitis is an infection of the chest and babies with eczema are not more likely to have bronchitis.
