Q.

Asthma

My 6 year old suffers from seasonal asthma.
What can i do to help with his tight chest?
The doctor has given a asthma pump for him to use but i dnt see that it helps. What is the best medicine to use for his chest?

Your son should be on an asthma preventer inhaler such as Flixotide 125 used twice daily with a special Aerochamber spacer device. Your son is too young to use an inhaler without the spacer. He should also have a bronchodilator inhaler such as Asthavent for use when his chest is tight. He only needs to use this treatment during the time of the year when he gets asthma.
