Asthamic 4 yr old

HI There

My daughter has constantly been suffering with a heavy chest ever since relocating to durban from JHB over two years ago. Last March she ended up in hospital wiht Broncho Pneumonia. and is constantly in and out of doctors rooms being nebulised. Shes been on every thing from PreFlem to Dillicnet and nebulises often. Again this month she is chesty again and can harldy breath. We have done thelung function tests on her and we still are never gettign over this. Please can you advise what we can do to help her both from a medical point and also if there is anything like swimming etc that will assist in building her lungs etc. Kind Regards Anand

Good question. Swimming is the one sport that is always advised for children with asthma and it will help your daughter a lot. She also needs to be seen by a specialist in paediatric allergy and needs to be put onto the correct treatment to control her asthma. No child needs to struggle with asthma these days as treatment is highly effective.Take your daughter to see Dr Ahmed Manjra who is a paediatric allergist. Please let me know about your daughter's progress once she has seen Dr Manjra
