Q.

are gas heaters safe for babies?

HI Prof,

Was wondering if a gas heater in the lounge would be safe for our 5 month baby girl. We just want to leave it on for a couple of hours and then turn it off when we go to bed and then not use it in our bedroom while we are sleeping.

I heard that gas heaters are dangerous for babies?

Thanks

Gas heaters should not be used in your baby's room as they may cause a build up of a dangerous gas called carbon monoxide if the room is not adequately ventilated. This gas has no smell so it not easily detected.
