Dear Doc

Just wanted you to know that my son''s appendix was removed on Friday. I wrote to you on the 14 June and you said then it was an sppendix problem but my GP felt he did not fit the classic symptoms and wanted to wait and see. The pain persisted and when we finally did further investigations the surgeon recommended immidiate removal. He told me after the op that although his appendix had not ruptutured it certainly would have.

So thank you. It was your advise that gave me the courage to ask my dr to investigate further - especially since it was not a text book case (no fever or nausea).

Thank you for letting me know about your son.I am pleased that he is over the operation. Any further delay in doing the operation would have resulted in problems for your son. As mentioned previously, your son had the typical textbook symptoms of appendicitis.
