Any reason for concern?

Morning Doctor

2 questions please:

1. I' ve changed my 4 1/2 month old' s formula from NAN HA to NA no.1 and also started feeding him cerelac rice cereal and the purity foods. I ve noticed that his stool is more firm and solid than before. He has a bowel movement everyday, sometime twice a day but when he does he will press and push. Could this be constipation? If so what can I use to help him.

2. His one foot is pointing more outwards (at a 45 degree angle)... Is this any reason for concern?

Many thanks. Your input would be appreciated.

As long as your babys stools are not hard there is no need for concern. His stools are more bulky now that he is on solid foods. It is diificult to be sure about his foot without being able to see your son. This could be quite normal, but it is importnat to be sure that his hips are normal. Just to be on the safe side ask your paediatrician to see him.
