Q.

Antibiotics

HI,

This is probably a bit of a silly question, but its something I''ve always wondered about.

If your child is prescribed antibioitics for a set time, for e.g. 9ml twice a day for 5 days, this doesn''t use up all the liquid in the 100ml bottle. Now I know you must always finish the course of antibiotics, but do you stop after teh 5 days prescribed, or do you give the additional dose left in the bottle as well?

Not a silly question at all, in fact a very good question. Usually there is just sufficient antibiotic in the bottle to complete the full course, so you should use the last dose as well.
