Q.

Angel Monitor

HI,
I have an angel monitor which i use for me 5 month old son!
Lastnight the alarm went of 12 times! Leaving my husband and myself sprinting to his room, because if the alarm goes off, it means he is not breathing!
When we get to him, he is fast asleep and does not even react to us touching him! Do you think there is something wrong with him or the monitor????
Please help as im totally stressed out now!

This is very difficult to answer with the information you have provided here.Has your baby ever had an apnoeic episode where he stops breathing while sleeping? Or else why do you use this monitor? It seems to be faulty as your baby was fine when you went to him each time. Please write in again if you are still concerned.

I' m glad it' s sorted! If you' ve been using it all along and it suddenly started being " too sensitive"  then maybe have baby checked out for apnoea though. It shouldn' t be too sensitive all of a sudden. But i' m assuming you' ve just started using it.

I also have the monitor and you probably just have to set the sensitivity setting to a different level. If he' s in a deep sleep it might be set so sensitive that it registers no movement. I had to fiddle with our setting for a few days before we had it just right. Hope that helps.
