Allergy and medicine?!?!

Hello Doc, I have written previously about my LO and suspected allergies...
She is now 13 months old.
She has a constant runny nose, and coughs a lot.
Especially on saturday night, we were up the whole night as she vomits from all the coughing.
She has no fever and are fine otherwise.
We took her to the Pead yesterday, and I must add I will never take her back to there...
She said it will make it worse to clear up the slime on the chest.
And all she prescribed is Deselex and a whole range of nose drops?!
She has been on Deselex for about two months and I cannot say that it has made a diffirence.
According to the Pead allergies can only be tested accurately at two years and there is not really mcuh one can do to control it?!
I feel SO sorry for my little girl.
The coughing is very sore for her and sometimes she even struggles to breathe properly....
And the Pead also said that she must not get more than 400ml milk a day?!? She is on cows milk?!

Sorry for the long post, but I REALLY need to do something to help my LO....
Do you have any suggestions??

At present your baby has whooping cough. She has the typical symptoms of this illness. This is not due to an allergy and obviously an antihistamine will not help with this cough. Please take her to a paediatrician or to your GP and tell him/her that this is the diagnosis and to put your baby on the correct medicine for this illness.

Thanks for the reply.
Any ideas on where I can find a pediatric pulmonologist?
I am located in Centurion.

Thank you!

This sounds exactly like what my baby was doing.
You can have an allergy test at a younger age. My son had his at 8 months. You need to probably see a peadiatric pulmonologist. We found out that my little one was asthmatic and had allergies which is what was lowing his immune system.
Besides getting proper medication, I have been giving my son pribiflora every single day which has helped him tremendously. Also I put some Karvol on this bed to help his breathing and nasonex to clear up his nasal cavaties.
You might want to ask for something like Preflam (prescription only). It really good to clear up a cough.
