Q.

Allergic to plaster

My 11-month old baby seems to have developed an allergic reaction to the sticky tabs on his nappies. Whenever it touches his skin, it goes red and raised. What can I do or put on it?

This is indeed a problem and your son has developed a contact allergy at a very young age. Have you tried a different brand of nappy? If this does not work you will have to try the smallest pull up kind or if these are too large you may need to use the old fashioned cloth nappies. You cannot start using cortisone ointments on the rash for a prolonged period until he stops wearing nappies.
