Q.

Allegy

Dear Prof

My 2.5 yrs old son has been having running nose and cough for the past 3 weeks. The paediatrician sent us for allergy test - which came back positive for seasonal nasal allegy. He prescribed Telfast and Avamys nasal spray . Are these safe medicines? I read that Avamys contains an ingredient which reduces the immune response. Can this make the child to get sick often?

Thank u.

Your son is on the correct medicines for a child of his age with allergic rhinitis [nasal allergy] These medicines are safe for use and will not affect his immunity.
