This is always a difficult question to answer as it is a very personal decison which needs to be taken by parents. It seems easier for children to do their best if schooled in their home language.

Hi Carla,
There should be no problem with sending your child to an English school.
I was raised in a dual lingual family. My mother is Afrikaans and both my sisters attended Afrikaans schools.
My father is English and I attended an English school.
Language at home was a combination of both but predominantly Afrikaans. This has had no negative effect on my development as a child.
