Affection in a 14month old

Hi Doc.
Its a bit of a lame question but would like your opinion. I have taught my 14 month old daughter what kisses are quite a while ago and most times have to kiss Daddy in order to get one from her, which is not all that often. I try to encourage her to give me kisses and sometimes I do get one. Most times she is interested in something else and wants to do something else. She does however, give lots of hugs. How can I get her to be more affectionate and does this mean that she will not be affectionate as she grows older? Sorry for the lame question but really want to have a great bond with my daughter. Thanks mom

You already have a great bond with your baby girl. She is still too young to realise what you are trying to achieve with her with the kissing, but she is certainly ready to give you lots of hugs. Hugs are great and are a wonderful way of expressing love for someone.
