Advise needed 4 month old baby boy

My grandson is 4 months old and weighs just under 7kg.

He is still on Lactogen 1 and according to his mother he cannot go over to No 2 till he is 6 months old, and he has no other food at this stage either, he has 150ml every 3 hours.

She also says the clinic sister says he cannot eat anything till 6 months old because his stomach will not take it.

He is constanlty hungry, what do we do?

You can certainly start with solids now. Many babies start on solids at 4 months. Begin with a small amount of baby cereal twice a day and then gradually introduce fruit and then vegetables into his diet.

Hi. I''m sure you are a concerned grandmother, and that''s great, but I must let you know I also have a 4.5 month old, my second child, and plan to wait until baby is 6 months before I put him on solids. He is a difficult baby to be honest, but I will wait as long as possible before putting him on solids. My first is now 4.5 yrs and I put him on solids only at 5.5 months.
It is advised to keep baby on milk until 6 months, and if you go shopping you will find there are baby 1st foods only from 6 months. And there are good reasons for starting solids at this age, rather than earlier.
