I bought the practica and I used it untill my son was about 3. However, I had an au pair looking after him and she did the program with him. It gave her something structural to do. I would probably not have done it with him myself. If you are a stay at home mom I think it is a wonderful program. My son went to creche when he was 3 and I could see that he was advanced in terms of building puzzles, knowing his colours and so on.

You can get loads of information on stimulating games at different points of development off parenting web sites and by reading magazines like living and loving and your baby. Much of the toys you can make yourself using inside of toilet rolls, old 2 litre bottles and so on.

I didn''t buy the practica set as its a lot of money for something that you really can find the informatino for yourself and provide stimulation for baby and child as they grow older without it.

I did buy Practica and I found it to be too demandind for me. When am I expected to play all those games with my kid as a working mom but I think I got a lot of information on when to expect certain development milestones and also what to do to stimulate my child. I loved reading their file on milestone it was always an eye opener for a first time mom. But for R7000 I think you need to be sure that you are going to use it intensively or just skip it altogether. Ther is just way too much information and also if you are going to take your child to creche early then it also is not worth it as creches are designed to provide that kind of stimulation (let me say good creches).
