If the child has bad ADHD it can be detected earlier? Maybe after 3 yr old, but some babies with hyperactivity struggles with sleeping ect. In my opinion as an OT I do think it' s only fair towards the child after 5-6 yr, and it is also different for boys and girls...Boys at later stage.....If learning does take plase despite disruptive behavior the chances are that the child is just boared...but if learning difficulty accomponies the ADHD then I would consider proper evaluation by a psychiatrist or neurologist and OT.
