Q.

ADHD

Hi Dr. I was wondering if it is possible for my 3yr old to have ADHD or is it just
Acting her age. She is a busy body all the time andonly gets 10 hours of
Sleep. She doesn''t like to complete a task before moving to the next.
A friend said she is ADHD and now I am concerned. What should I look out for?

ADHD is difficult to diagnose with certainty before a child attends school. At school the typical 4 main symptoms of ADHD which are hyperactivity, inattention, impulsive behaviour and easy distractibility become apparent. Your little girl does have at least 2 of these symptoms now. At this stage it would be wise to increase her daily intake of Omega 3 through products like Eye Q.
