Q.

Adenoids

My 10 month old baby girl has recently been diagnosed with enlarded adenoids. We took her for x-ray and to the ENT specialist who also suggested that they are large and need to be taken out. My question is, isn' t there a treatment for adenoids instead of opting for a surgery? She is still too young. I' m scared for her.

There is no treatment that will make the adenoids smaller. The operation is safe and your baby will be out of hospital the same day. I would recommend that you wait until your baby is at least a year old before the operation is done.
