Q.

Acc200

Hi Prof

A couple of years ago, a physio suggested I nebulize my son with ACC200. I never did try it at that stage and I''m just wondering whether this is a good idea as he has a cough at the moment and loves to nebulize. I normally only give him saline, unless he is diagnosed with an infection.

Thanks

I am not happy about using ACC200 in a nebuliser for your son. This medicine is usually given only by mouth and has not been tested for safety if given by a nebuliser and is then directly inhaled into his lungs.

Hi. It would seem you may have misunderstood the advise. My sons pediatrician also told us to give him ACC200 and nebulize him at night.
