Q.

9-year old still wetting the bed

My daughter is 9 years old and not yet dry at night. We had her assessed by our Paed. about 3 years ago, and he found no medical reason for her not being able to hold her bladder day or night. He said she is a bedwetter and will outgrow it. She is now able to control herself during the day, but not at night when she is asleep. My husband and I have to wake her at least twice during the night to take her to wee  if not, she wets the bed. How ' normal'  is this?

Paediatrician

This is onviously not normal and bedwetting is very embarrassing for a girl of 9 years.Bedwetting is called enuresis. There are very effective medicines available these days to treat enuresis. You can either take her back to her paediatrician or take her to see a paediatrician with an interest in renal peadiatrics.
