Q.

9 Month Vaccination

Morning doctor

I would like to know - my little boy will be 9 months on 25 April. We are going to the sea the 25th till the 30th of April.

Will this 9 month injection make him sick? How long before the time and long after this date will it be okay to get the injection?

What do you suggest - must we take him before we leave or will it be okay to get the injection when we return from holiday?

Thank you

Your baby should have the measles vaccination at 9 months. He may have a slight fever for up to 2 days after the immunisation is given, but he will soon recover.
