Q.

8yr old with headaches

Hello Doc,

My 8yr old daughter has been complaining of headaches recently. It seems to be just on the forehead region. She does not complain of anything else. Is it normal for children of this age to get headaches? Does she need to be seen by her doctor? Can she be given anything besides Panado for this?

thank you.

You always must take note when a child complains about headaches. It is important to find out what is causing your daughter's headaches. There are several important causes for headaches in children. It is possible that your daughter is getting sinus headaches, but one cannot be sure without seeing a doctor.
