Q.

8 year old doesn''t want to go to the loo

My 8 year old daughter has incredible bladder control. She can go for hours on end without urinating. Getting her to go before a long trip or at bedtime is a huge power struggle. Is it in fact bad for your health to not empty your bladder before you go to sleep? She hasn''t had an accident for at least the last 4 years, except for one time when she couldn''t find the bathroom in a strange house.

This is not all that unusual for some little girls. As long as she is well and drinks adequate amounts of fluid every day she should be fine.
