8 Month old not eating

Hi Doctor

My 8 month old daughter - who was eating very well (cereal, fruit, veg &  meats) has stopped eating solids altogether for the last 5 days. She pushes me away and closes her mouth. If i trick her and slip the food when she is off guard she just ends up gagging until she spits the food out or she ends up vomitting.
Can you help with what the problem could be or what i should do.

This is very common and is usually a passing problem.Dont give your baby daughter any of her formula before you offer her the solids as she may be too full to eat then. Try and give her only those foods which she seems to like even if you have to just give her cereal in the morning and evening for a day or two. Then gradually introduce new foods as if you were starting her on solids for the first time. See for advice about what to feed babies of this age.
