7 month old not sleeping through

My son is 7 months old, he has been sleeping through the night up until last week when we got back from holiday, but we kept his routine while away, (he was sleeping through on holiday). He has been waking up just after I put him down, I pat his back and he goes back down, then to wake a further couple of times, he has been very restless. I try get him back down, and he goes back to sleep easily but keeps waking after an hour or so, I then give in and give him a bottle, after having a feed, he goes back to sleep but only for a few hours and is then awake between 4-5am, by this time I am exhausted. He has been a little constipated but I have been giving him some prunes &  this seems to be helping. Could his constipation be the reason for not sleeping through &  being very restless or has he just decided not to sleep through? Help..

This is a very common situation with babies who have had a disturbance with their routine. It is usually only a temporary problem and things soon settle down again when back at home and with the normal routine again.
