Q.

6 week check up

my sister in law had her baby 7 weeks ago at a govt hospital - neither the hospital or the local clinics do a 6 week check up. Is it not vital for the baby to see a paediatrician at 6 weeks? Do you know of any clinics or instititutions that may offer this service?

Paediatrician

It is not essential for your sister's baby to be checked up at 6 weeks, although the clinic sister will check him/her when he goes for his/her immunizations.
