Q.

6 month old with chesty cough

Hello,

Thank you in advance for your help!

My 6 month old boy has developed a chesty cough. He is a bit grumpy but at this stage has no fever - just a blocked nose &  cough.

What do I do? Should I just watch him to see if it gets worse or is there something that I' m supposed to do to nip it in the bud?
When does a cough in a baby become a serious problem?

Best regards,
Bugsy

Your baby has a bad cold now with a chest infection. This is caused by a virus. Your main aim must be to keep his nose clear by using Salex nose drops twice a day.He should settle down after about 5 to 7 days.
