Q.

5month old - cold

my daughter is 5months old. she has had a blocked nose for a month which i''ve been treating with Sterimar and Otrivin. it is not clearing up. is there any cold medicine that can be given to a baby of her age? My older son uses Coryx, but it is not for such a young baby? thank you

You should not use Otrivin for more than 5 days as it may cause a rebound rhinitis. Switch to infant saline nose drops or Salex nose drops twice daily. You cannot give any of the oral decongestant medicines to such a young baby.
