Q.

4,5 YRS OLD, PROBLEMS WITH SPEECH

mY SON IS 4 AND A HALF YEARS OLD AND IS STRUGGLING WITH HIS LANGUAGE. HE DOES NOT SPEAK CLEARLY, MIXES HIS LANGUAGES (ENGLISH AND AFRIKAANS), SPEAKS UNCLEARLY AND NOT IN SENTENCES. HE DOES NOT SLEEP THROUGH AND SEEMS TO BE BEHIND IN ALL HIS DEVELOPMENTS. YET HE IS AN INTELLEGENT LITTLE BOY WHO UNDERSTAND EVERYTHING. I NEED HELP! HAVE TAKES HIM TO SPEACH THERAPIST AND SHE SAYS I SHOULD BE PATIENT. HE IS A " LAATLAMMETJIE"  - MIGHT I BE MOTHERING HIM TOO MUCH?
