4 yr old waking up for tea

My 4 yr old daughter wakes up around 2 almost every night for a tea bottle. Its more of a non spill bottle than a baby bottle. I have not been able to get her off it. She only has her tea in it at night and during the day she happily drinks out of a cup. No problem there. Its more a security comfort thing. I know she is not thirsty cuz she wont drink water if i gave her some. She wants tea. She loves rooibos tea.
Any advice please on how i can get her off it. She drinks a bottle when she goes to sleep, wakes up around 2 for one and wants some again at 5h45 when i wake her for school.

Your daughter is already 4 years old and you will need to break this habit she has developed. She certainly does not need to drink a bottle of roobos tea a 2am every night at her age. She is perfectly happy to drink from a cup during the day so that is not the issue here. As you correctly say this is part habit and partly a comfort thing. Try a star chart with her. Tell her that if she sleeps through and does not wake for her night bottle she will get a gold star. When she gets 3 stars in a row she will get a small reward. If she makes 3 nights then raise the number of stars to 4, then 5 then 6 before the next reward. Each time raise the number of stars by one before her next reward. She should soon stop if she can get through a week without waking for this bottle.
