4 year old took his clothes off at school

My 4-year old son is still bathing with me every now and then, as well as showering with his father. He used to ask a lot of questions about the differences in our bodies, but for a while now it is all about the play and being social while bathing.
His teacher told me however this morning that he yesterday, during nap time, took off ALL his clothes. Now he does not steep in the afternoon anymore and is kept seperately in the toy corner on his mattress when it is quiet time. Then he also started with his " sex education"  for the teacher, about how his body is differs from his mommy''s and daddy''s and that he is also going to look like that once he is grown back. It could actually have been funny to me, should we not have lived in a strange and dangerous world these days. It has so far only happened this one time. Should I even make an issue out of it and discuss it with him, or should I just ignore it for now?

Your son's behaviour most probably was completely innocent, but his teacher's will not be impressed with it.It is usually said that childen should stop bathing with their parents at around 4 or 5 years. It does seem that it time to stop the bathing and showering together. You also need and to take his mind off the body differences between the sexes and try to focus his attention on games and toys which he will enjoy.

This is quite normal at this age and even at 5 and 6. Perhaps just mention to your son that although its all very normal, we shouldn''t take our clothes off except in front of the family or the doctor if mom or dad is there, and also tell him taht we don''t talk about body parts even though they are quite normal its just not polite.

You''ll have to tell him this a few times before it sinks in though and he will even do it just to annoy you at times.
