Q.

4 year old recurring fever with no explanation

My 4 year old daughter has had multiple urine tests with blood in, very little. We have done a Sonar of the kidneys - nothing. She complains about stomach ache regularly. She gets fevers from time to time - 39 degrees. Nothing else really shows up. Been to two Dr. &  Paed. Is it just indigestion?

There is a problem here and a diagnosis has not been made yet. This is not due to indigestion. There are important illnesses which nedd to be excluded including TB and Bilharzia [if you live in an area where this illness occurs] Your daughter should be seen by a paediatric renal expert. There are specialists in all the main centres in SA.
