Q.

4-year-old has stomach and neck pain.

Good day, i would like to confirm that my son had a tummy virus 2 weeks ago (something he ate did not work with his tummy) He was feverish and throwing up. It when on for 4 days. After that until today he is complaining that his tummy is sore and his neck. He wants me to feel his neck and tummy.(His tonsils was removed at 3 years of age. Last night he was crying again of his tummy and neck. And his right leg started to pain a swell. He doesn't want to eat food that are big portioned. Please confirm what the systems can relate to?

You have given a full description of your son's illness. It is very unusual for a child of 4 years to be so definite about where he has pain. It is his neck pain that concerns me the most as this may be a sign of meningitis. It is really necessary for your son to be seen immediately at your nearest emergency paediatric unit.
