Hi doctor
My 4 year old is constipated, she didnt go to the toilet for the last 3 days and we tried from Prune juice to apple juice and she tries to drink lots of water but when she goes nothing comes out and today she tried to push and she ended up crying as it was painful.

Kindly advice what I can give her. thank you so much for your assistance.

I presume that you have your 4 year old on a healthy diet for constipated children. This means lots of water to drink, plenty of fruit especially the summer fruits now available and lots of fibre in her diet such as wholewheat bread and Weetbix. You can try Duphalac Liquid 5ml twice aday. Start off with a 10 day course and see if this helps for her problem.
