4 month old going to creche

Hi Dr,I took my 4 month old baby to creche as I saw how my siter struggled with her nanny''s. Is there a multivitamin that i can give her to boost her immune system as she will be among a lot of children and also that we are now approaching the winter season?

You can try Creche Guard which is an excellent immune booster for babies and young children attending a creche.

My daughter went to creche at 4 1/2 months, and I agonised over the decision. She did get sick frequently for the first six months (nothing more serious than a cold / sore throat and one ear infection - and I felt terrible especially with so many people being anti-creche for young babies), and then after about 6 months her immunity started improving tremendously and now she hardly ever gets sick (at 2). sometimes creche is the best and safest option (unless you''re lucky enough to have a parent or a reliable nanny to take care of your little one). I have no regrets about my decision. good luck !

Hi Nthabi

Are you breastfeeding? that is the best way to protect your baby. If you can express your breastmilk and send it with to creche it will be the best way to keep you baby healthy.

Good luck!
