Q.

3.5 yo carrion breath

Dear Prof

Hope you are well, and escaping the seasons coughs and cold! I have a quick question - my 3.5 yo son had a brain MRI (his yearly Chiari follow-up) a month ago and on the scan report it said that he had sinusitis. He wasn''t treated for it and has been well, but has developed a cough and his breath is smelling extremely foul. Could it still be the sinusitis? We are on holiday and only returning on Sunday. Does he need to see a paed soon, or can it wait until Monday?

Many thanks!

Thank you. Your son's bad breath is probably still due to sinusitis. Use regular Sterimar sprays in his nose and he should be able to wait until Monday to see the doctor.
