3 year old coughing

My 3 year old daughter has been coughing for the pass 3-4 weeks. I have given her Tussitot and Pholtex but the cough does seem to go away. She has a runny nose and this terrible cough and seems it get worse at night. Pls give me some advise.

Both of these cough mixtures contain codeine which is not recommended fo young children. Your daughter appears to have a cough problem caused by a post nasal drip. She may have enlarged adenoids or sinusitis causing this post nasal drip. Please ask an ENT specialist to see her and advise as to the best way to treat her.
