My daughter is 3 weeks old, she has a sticky eye(left eye).I am currently using breast milk in the eye. Is there anything else I can use? what causes this sticky eye?

This is an eye infection and your baby may also have a temporary block of her left tear duct. Clean her eye three times a day with a dilute salt solution [a quarter teaspoonful of salt dissolved in a cup of boiled and cooled water] Wipe from the nose side outwrds and discard the swab after each wipe.If her eye is not better after 3 days please take her to be seen by her paediatrician.

My newborn had the same problem and the Paed. prescribed Chloramex. It sorted out the problem.

Good luck.
