Q.

3 month old teething!

Hi Doc,

I was quite surprised to find 2 little teeth busy making their appearance in my 3 month old daughters mouth. I' ve read that this is indeed possible, though not very common and that infants can sometimes have more than one set of milk teeth. Is there anything I should be worried about, she seems to be taking it quite well for such a small person...

You are correct, this is indeed unusual for a baby's teeth to already appear at 3 months. This usually happens at 6 months and the signs of teething usually first start at around 4 months. Your baby has taken her early teething very well and there is no need to worry.
