3 month old - reflux?

HI Doc,
Hope you are well.
My baby is now 3 months old and weighed 6.7 kg two weeks ago, at his last vacs.
The problem is he seems to battle with winds a lot. I do give him telement drops on days that seem especially bad. However, he seems to cry a lot at feeding time, and must be burped before accepting the bottle. Unfortunately, due to problems with breastfeeding, he is now only formula fed.
He drinks at least 150 ml each feed and sometimes goes to 200ml, but feeds every 2-3 hours. He is on S26.
My question is, could there be some other condition that causes him discomfort before feeds. His bowel movements are regular, and I am certain he does not experience tummy cramps. He possets normal amounts of milk after feeds, and burps well after a feed, although I find I need to burp him again a while later.
I doubt he is just too hungry at feed times, but he seems to cry at every feed, before accepting the bottle. (i must add, I do hear his tummy growling - is it just hunger?)
He sleeps well at night and gets up once or twice for feeds, the first feed goes well, but the second feed not so as he will fuss, then go to sleep without problems.

Many thanks,

This does not sound like reflux, but more likely that your baby has a lactose intolerance problem. Try him either on a lactose free formula such as NAN LF or on a soya formula such as Isomil 1 and see if he improves. His weight is excellent for his age.
