2yr Old Toddler Snorring at night

Hi Doc..

My son is 2yrs old.. We had his Adenoids removed when he was 1yr old.. Since last week I have noticed that he snores VERY bad at night... We use Nasonex at night and giving him AP Loratidine 5ml''s at night for his Rhinitus (as per his Pediatrician), he also said that our son has Asthma for which he uses Inflamide 2x pumps 2x a day...

Is this snoring normal? I really don''t think so as I have never thought that a toddler can snore this bad?

Your advice would really be appreciated.
Thank you so much..

You are correct, your toddler should not snore at all. Snoring in children is caused by a very blocked indeed. The most likely cause with your son is regrowth of his adenoids. As snoring can lead to a serious breathing problem in young children called sleep apnoea it is important to diagnose and treat his snoring. He must be seen by an ENT specialist as soon as possible.
