2yr old not eating at night

My 2 year old son is at creche during the day where I am told eats well. He eats porridge in the morning, bread at 10, lunch at 12, chips and biscuits between 2 and 3. But at night he messes with his food and eats next to nothing. He drinks 2 x 150ml bottles of Parmalat first growth milk during the night. Weekends are a battle as well to get him to eat any meal.

I am told he eats well at creche because all his friends do it, and at home there is no friends.

My son is taller than most other 2 year olds (90 percentile) and weighs about 14.5kg.

Is there a vitamin or supplement I should give him to make up for this lack of eating? I am scared his health may suffer, if not now, maybe later in life?

You certainly do not need to worry about your son's growth and weight gain. His weight is well above the average weight for a boy of 2 years which is 12.2kg! If he eats lunch at the creche, he only needs a light meal in the evening. He will eat what he needs and what he wants to eat. It will do him a lot of good and be much healthier for him if you asked the creche to stop giving him chips and biscuits in the afternoon.

My 2 yo is exactly the same! I distract him when feeding him his dinner - thats the only way I get him to eat. You can also change his chips and biscuits to fruit for the afternoon snack - healthier and less filling.
