2yr 8month always thirsty

Hi Paed

Kindly assist. My 2yr 8months son oends to wake up every morning around 3-4am requesting water. He sleeps through the night and does not drink anything during her sleep. He doesn' t have a sweet tooth and we avoid giving him food that contains salt. Can you please tell me what could be causing this and what can be done?

Thanking you in advance

This may be perfectly normal, but may be due to mouth breathing while sleeping. If he does have a blocked nose at night try using Salex nose drops before he goes to sleep every night and see if this makes a difference.

that is just ' gewoonte' . My girl (3 next month) was also like that, wake up alot during night for some tea and I just took that away and now she' s fine without something to drink at night. When its hot outside I do give her a sip or two if she' s thirsty, but not in a bottle anymore.
