2years plus old boy still can not talk (concerned mother)

my son can still not talk at the age of 2years plus, is there anything i can do. the doctor suggested to put Grommets in his ear and believed it''s was because of hearing loss. It has been a month now but i do not see any changes. He can only use one word , one word ,Can speech theraphy help?

This is very common especially with little boys. You are sure that he can hear well now so this is a step in the right direction. Give him more time and if he is still not talking by 3 years of age he should be seen by a speech therapist.

He is very active but likes crying and plays a lot.Please let me know if it''s normal, some people says i must wait until he is three since he is a boy some boys have delays in in speech, any suggestions, comments, etc, will be appreciated.
