My daughter is now 2years and 6 months, her tonsils /adenoids was removed by 18 months, it was so swollen that she started to struggle breathing. She received her grommits in August 08, and she had a huge infection that she needed to go back 2 x times to the ENT specialist. My problem is this, i cannot see if she is sick. She never gets a fever, she is not difficult or crying or touching her ears or anything like that. I have noticed that she just will not go to sleep at night, and she is very restless during the night. At the moment i give her Deselex as per ENT instruction. She doesn' t have any running nose or coughing that i am aware of she is just very restless. There is no discharge from the ears. Could it be ear infection again.

Your daughter does not appear to be ill from your description here. She would have a fever with an ear infection. She does not have a blocked nose to account for her restless sleeping pattern. Is there anything that you are aware of that could be upsetting her such as a recent move or is she unhappy at a creche?Keep bedtimes very happy and peaceful and read to her before she goes to sleep. She may benefit from a nightlight in her room.
