Q.

2week old baby - feedings

Hi Dr

My baby is 2 weeks old.
I breastfed her for the first week but got mastitis and had to stop the breastfeeding. I put her on lactogen 1.

According to the tin, she can drink up to 100ml 6 times in 24 hours, however she doesnt.

She weighed 3.31 kg at birth, and she drinks about 25ml - 75 ml every 4 - 5 hours. She seems content and healthy. Should I be satisfied that she will drink what she needs or " force"  her to finish a 100 ml feeding by waking her when she falls asleep while feeding?

The important thing is whether your baby is gaining weight. She seems content and sleeps well so she seems to be satisfied on her Lactogen 1 formula and it is not necessary to try to keep her awake to finish her whole bottle at each feed.
