2nd opinion

Am taking my child for her first vaccinations next the clinic the nurse told me to give her Panado a half hour b4 we come. When I saw my Paed last week, he said recent studies show that giving Panado beforehand might interfere with vaccinations given.

Second opinion pls...should I give her Panado or not?

You should not give your baby any Panado prior to her immunisations.

If u give panado b4 and she has a reaction from the injection u won t b able to see cos the first thing that shows if there is a problem from injections in a baby is fever so panado wll suppress it while the baby is reacting and u wont notice and thats very dangerous.

Not necessary at all - rather rub a bit of Emla or Anethaine on the little leg areas where she will be injected about 10 minutes before you appointment. And the breastfeed or give bottle either while she''s being injected or just after.
