2month old strains when passing bowel

My two month old daughter strains when she passes her bowel movement but the stool is not hard but soft. Is this constipation or is there any underlying problem with my child' s intestines. I was told that it is normal but my baby gets so red in the face and her eyes watery that i am highly concerned. What do i do?

This is probably normal as your baby's stool is soft. There is no sign of constipation.

Hi Lydia

My 5 months old baby boy was also battling (particularly in the mornings) when he was two months old and sometimes he would cry I got so worried and took him to his paed, he prescribed glecerine baby for my boy. The is nothing wrong with your baby it will pass when she is 3 months or earlier.
