Q.

21 Month old constipated

My 21 month old toddler is drinking Nido Formula and she will only drink the formula and refuse to eat, she is suffering from severe constipation and i wonder if it is not caused by the constant milk that she is drinking.
She also refuse to drink water, i just need some help about what can help to soften her stools as she is crying when passing a bowel movement.
If i replace the milk formula to normal fresh milk can that possibly help to relieve her?

Your little toddler is obviously drinking too much of the Nido only and is not eating enough fruit and fibre rich foods and drinking water. Changing her to regular full cream milk may help a bit but her milk intake should be reducced to about 600ml daily . Encourage her to eat a wider variety of foods and fruit. Offer her diluted fruit juice once daily. If you still struggle with her constipation give her Duphalac 5ml once daily for 10 days.
