20 month son - no weight gain

My 20 mnth old son has not gained weight lord knows for how long now. i have taken hin to the doctor in Jan and he weighed 10kg, this is not normal and it takes me close to an hour to finish feeding him. In last week he has had flu and completely lost his appitite and i fear that he has lost teh little weight that he had. Pls advise what i need to give him as he goes to day care and he only gets breakfats, lunch and snack and supper. should i increase his food intake. I have also realised that latetly he sleeps with his bum on teh air, is this a sign that he has worms?pls advice

Your son's weight is certainly well below the average for his age. In fact he falls in the lowest 10% for children of his age. He has a poor appetite and has recently been ill. He may have worms, but I am concerned that he may have some other illness such as TB. Please take him to see a paediatrician even if you have to go to your nearest hospital with a paediatric department just to be sure.
